Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 15, 2026. A simple guide to the cookies used on Moon Phase Emoji.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a tiny text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device (your phone, tablet, or computer). It helps the website remember things about your visit.
Cookies are not programs. They cannot run code on your device, they cannot read your private files, and they cannot give anyone a virus. They are just little notes your browser keeps.
Most websites use cookies. Without them, every page would treat you like a brand new visitor every time. Cookies are what let a website remember your language, your settings, or that you have already closed a popup.
Which cookies we use
We keep cookies to a minimum. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell cookie data to anyone.
Here are the two kinds of cookies you may find on this site:
- Essential cookies. These remember things the site needs to work, like your language choice or the last settings you picked in a moon tool. Without these, parts of the site would not work right.
- Analytics cookies (optional). If we use analytics, these cookies help us see which pages are popular and which tools get used most. We always choose privacy-friendly analytics, and they never track you across other websites.
Local storage
Besides cookies, we may use a feature called "local storage." It does the same job — remember things between visits — but it can store a little more data and it stays on your device only. We use it for things like remembering your last picked date in a tool.
Local storage is also just notes. It is not a program and it cannot harm your device.
How to disable cookies
You are in charge. Every web browser lets you turn off cookies or delete the ones already saved. Here is the short version:
- In Chrome: open Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies. You can block all cookies or only third-party ones.
- In Firefox: open Settings, then Privacy & Security, then choose Standard, Strict, or Custom cookie rules.
- In Safari: open Preferences, then Privacy, then check "Block all cookies."
- In Edge: open Settings, then Cookies and site permissions, then manage how cookies are handled.
If you turn off essential cookies, some features on the site may not work the way you expect (for example, the site may forget your language choice). That is normal. The moon tools themselves will still work fine.
Changes to this policy
If we ever add a new kind of cookie or change how we use one, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top.
